About Us

The Physical Education department at UNIS Elementary is looking forward to sharing what is happening in our classes, curriculum and any events we have. Please look at the blog regularly as we will be putting up student work and ideas for home as often as we can so we can all contribute to keeping our kids happy and healthy.

Introducing the team…

CV pic clare Miss Clare is originally from New Zealand and this is her fourth year as part of the ESPE team. As you can probably imagine she is passionate about sports and movement and wants to share this with all the students at UNIS. She has a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation from my Massey University in her home country NZ. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family.
Mr. Matt is very excited to join the UNIS ES PE team and to help foster a love for movement in our students. Mr. Matt has just completed his PE and Sport Pedagogy masters, and prior to this has spent 7 years teaching internationally in Cairo and Bucharest. His passions include Blackburn Rovers F.C, Radiohead and anything that includes getting outside and moving.
Miss Nikki is from Canada and is excited to start her second year at UNIS. She has been teaching early childhood PE for 5 years. She is enthusiastic in instilling her passion for lifelong movement in everyone. She has a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Bachelor of Education from Brandon University in Canada.  This year she will begin a Master of Early Childhood Education with Western University (Canada). She is loves swimming, cooking and traveling to new places.
   Mr Pho has been an elementary PE assistant at UNIS for over 20 years and is an invaluable part of the team. He is involved in a variety of sports and especially Water Safety Instructor, MS Soccer & APAC Badminton coach. He is passionate about anything to do with sports as well as passing my knowledge of P.E & sports to young kids.
Quang Vu  Mr. Quang has taught at UNIS for two years now and is excited to be back to motivate and encourage our young students. He enjoys keeping fit and spending time with his wife and daughter. He is involved in a lot of the community programs at UNIS Hanoi.
