We are very excited to announce auditions for this years Spring Musical – PIPPIN, book by Roger O’Hirson and Music and Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.
Pippin is a fun, zany, ensemble based musical that follows the story of Pippin, the son of fabled Emperor Charlemagne, who longs to find passion and adventure in his life.
Auditions will be a little bit different this year, the individual auditions will be via video and then we will all come together for the group dance and call back audition.
Individual auditions will need to be shared with Ms TP by 12 noon Sunday 1st March, with the dance audition/callback on Tuesday 3 march in the Theatre at 3.45pm.
What do you need to do to audition?
Step 1: Email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) to express your interest and I will send you the audition form and rehearsal schedule.
Step 2: Select a song and start practicing. We would like it to be a song from a Musical – Disney is a great place to start. You don’t need to learn all of the song, 1 verse and 1 chorus is enough. Songs from Movies are fine!!
Step 3: Video yourself performing your song. I would suggest recording it a few times and selecting the one that shows your vocal ability the best. Please make sure we can hear you over the backing.
Step 4: Share the video with Ms TP before 5pm on Thursday 27th february.
Step 5: Attend the dance audition on Tuesday 3 March at 3.45pm in the Theatre. You will need to return your completed and signed audition form at this time.
We are also looking for musicians interested in playing in the Pit Orchestra. Mr D is looking for many different instruments. Have a look at the full list in the attached slideshow.
What do you need to do if you are interested in playing in the Pit?
We have put together a slideshow with all the information for you to go back to when needed. See the attached slideshow:
We are really excited about the show and are looking forward to working on it with you.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Ms TP (cast and crew) or Mr D (Pit).
