The Grade 12 Theatre Class showcased their culminating Solo Theatre Pieces earlier this week in front of a virtual audience. These performances were the very last tasks the students had to complete as part of their IB Diploma in Theatre programme.
With the vast majority of work accomplished during Distance Learning, the dogged determination displayed by the four-member class has impressed their teacher, Ms Kristen Twynam-Perkins.
She said, “To say that I am proud of Bailey, Kevin, Richard and Flora is an understatement. They have worked diligently and have been dedicated to the creative process. While it may not be in the space they originally planned and look exactly like they wanted, they have taken the challenge of creating a piece of live theatre, performing to a minimal audience and recording it to share via an online platform. The Arts are a creative process with constant work, reflection and development and they have worked with the changes and challenges so well.”
