I’m Dung Tran and I’m very excited to have an opportunity to work with your child this school academic year.

Every week, we have two 40 – minute lessons of Vietnamese cultural studies as the following schedule:

 

K1A Monday period 7 and Tuesday period 2
K1B Wednesday period 2 and Thursday period 7
K1C Tuesday period 4 and Friday period 5

And here are the units that we are going to explore throughout the year:

  • Tết Trung Thu –  Moon Festival
  • Tôi là ai – Who am I
  • Con vật của tôi – My pets
  • Tết – Vietnamese New Year
  • Hoa quả ngon – Healthy fruits

Tet Trung Thu

“Tết Trung Thu- Moon Festival” is the first unit that the students are currently exploring in Vietnamese class. The students are engaged in different activities such as listening to the story of Cuội, making Mooncakes, and making lanterns. Through these activities, the students are being exposed to Vietnamese culture and festivals. Continue reading
