We continued to learn about Tet and Vietnamese culture this week. We have been decorating our classroom, learning about the symbols and colours of Tet. On Tuesday we had a visitor from Bat Trang pottery village come to share her family’s craft. Each child had the opportunity to create something with her on a traditional pottery wheel. The children also made cards for our 20/10 school buddies who we will visit on Monday.
In English we started something called “Story Workshop.” The children are using different loose parts, such as beads, blocks and toys, to create their own stories. We are excited to share these stories with you at conferences next week. We will continue to develop our story workshop skills in the next few months of K1.
