UNIS Hanoi Hosts the Viet Sing Swing University Fair and Forum Series

On September 28, 2018  the Hanoi international school community will host the Viet Sing Swing. This multi-city (Singapore, Hanoi & Saigon) event will play host to 100 Universities from more than one dozen countries. In Hanoi, 10 international high schools and more than 500 high school students learn about the university processes around the world.

The university fair will be preceded by a conference where international school students from several international schools around Hanoi will challenge their understanding of the university application processes around the world.

The conference will begin with a massive simulation where every student becomes a member of a “mock admission” committee where they will decide the results of four different student applications. The simulation will be followed by 18 different workshops covering application essays in Europe, the USA and Korea, financial aid programmes and internship programmes as well as geographic specific workshops for Hong Kong, the Netherlands and several other locations.

This inaugural event is not only a partnership of the Hanoi community of international schools, but a cooperative effort between the association of international schools in Ho Chi Minh City and the UWCSEA Singapore, hence the name Viet-Sing Swing. The cooperative regional effort between international schools is not only a big deal, it’s an unusual one.

The Viet Sing Swing Conference is for grade 11 & 12 students only.  The conference will be followed by a traditional university fair open to all UNIS Hanoi families.
