Global Online Academy Courses during iBlock

UNIS Hanoi continues to look for ways to provide opportunities for students to pursue interests, and to enrich and extend their skills. Next year, thirteen students have requested and have successfully completed enrollment requirements to study an online course during iBlock with Global Online Academy (GOA). Courses our students will be studying next year include:

  • Computer Science I: Computational Thinking
  • International Relations
  • Medical Problem Solving I
  • Social Psychology
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Fiction Writing
  • Gender Studies
  • Arabic Language through Culture I
  • Japanese: Language through Culture I

The high school selected Global Online Academy (GOA) to join because of the quality and thoughtful approach they take to structuring and supporting students. Global Online Academy (GOA), is a non-profit organization that provides modern, global, online learning opportunities for students in an international network of independent schools. GOA hosts an annual online student conference as a way for students to share their learning and action with a global audience. The Catalyst Conference starts on 3 May and is open to the public. While UNIS Hanoi students are invited to view and respond to presentations this year, we hope to see many UNIS Hanoi students sharing projects in the years to come.
