Building on the success of our Discovery Trail, the Community Connections programme is planning the next in its series of events for UNIS Hanoi families and this time, our Service Learning students will be front and centre.
We are delighted to be partnering with cafes in Ciputra and Tay Ho on Global UN Day – October 24 – to give an opportunity for our students to advocate in the community for their Service projects and partners.
A stroll down To Ngoc Van and all around the Tay Ho neighbourhood will give families the opportunity to visit a series of booths and tables set up by our student led groups to inform the community of the issues they are tackling with their projects. Already planning are our Swim for Life, Bamboo Music and Legacy groups!
For now – mark your calendars and watch from more details in Tin Tuc on Friday October 23 after the break. You can find a list of our partner cafes on the Community Connections parent portal page.
Partnering with Keep Hanoi Clean for the fifth year our community will convene to help clean up our local neighbourhood.
This is a high visibility opportunity to role model our community’s commitment to local service. We will partner with this local action group and our Young Alumni will also join this community event designed for UNIS Hanoi family involvement. Location details after the break – Mark your calendars!
Please note: Student groups which choose to participate during their weekend will be encouraged to follow local authority guidelines on social distancing and mask wearing for their off-campus activities. Specific guidelines for health & safety during the Trash Pick-Up will also be shared with volunteers.
