A Habit of Service Project 

‘The A Habit of Service project was launched on 22nd November 2017 at the Tower of London by Dame Julia Cleverdon, Co-founder of Step up to Serve and Michael Lynas, CEO of National Citizen Service. The project is the largest known study of its kind and reports on evidence gathered from over 4,500 16-20 year olds about the factors that are associated with young people who have made a habit of service’

  1. The key concept is a young person with a habit of service. It is social action activities such as fundraising , campaigning and volunteering. It have social action embedded at schools , college and university. They supports young people to continue participating through key transition points , such as moving schools , recording going to university or starting work .

    You can have parents and friends who are also involved in the same type of social action , and support. You can involved in social action under the age of 10.

    The picture says that involved people who under the age 10 is 22%. Also 76% people think that they have the confidence to participate in social action. I thought It is mean they doing social action a lot even if they have their work because I think they like to support and help people.
    The picture says 80% parents participate in at least one type of social action. I think it was because people who support children or world said you have to change the world or their children said this social activities.

    I thought that this social action project is doing so well because It has many people’s help and I like support people and if we support and help people. We can change the world.

  2. What are the key findings and what might your opinions be about the findings?

    The “A habit of Service” project was launched on 22nd November 2017. It is a business that helps people make better choices in life by doing a good action. An action is a good change that people do to make the world a better place.
    Those who first get involved in below the age of ten were found more than two times more likely to have formed more of “a habit of service” than if they started aged 16–18 years. This business is trying to help people make a good action/change the world, it is a good thing to do, I would gladly join that company.
    The “a habit of service” says that a social action looks progressive, challenging, youth-led, social impactful, embedded, and reflective. I found that some of these words are similar to the Unis attitudes, and the learner profiles. This company is committed to helping others, and spreading awareness of what is going on in the world. What this group is doing is making a big impact on everyone and our future.But in all I think that this is a great company that does great things.

  3. The “A Habit of Service” project was started on the 22nd of November at the tower of London. The University Of Birmingham interviewed 4,518 16 to 20 year olds, to understand which factors are associated with children and young adults who have formed a habit of service.

    It was found that children under 10 were more likely to have started to form a Habit of Service, than kids in the ages between 16 – 18 or 20. For example they would most likely participate in more service activities and participate in them more often. Parents have been said to also participate in the activities more than young adults and teenagers. The “Habit of Service”
    project helps people with their skills and confidence so that they can take more time to be
    part of service activities, and projects.

    This project is a good way to start taking action and to clean up the messes we have left behind. It will also help raise awareness about what is happening. It will teach people that they should make better choices and to start taking action. We need more people to realize what they have to do to make this a better place for all of us to live. This project will raise awareness and will encourage people to do something to help.

  4. I think the key finding is that you should start social action at a young age. A young person with a habit of service has participated in social action activities such as volunteering, campaigning and fundraising, and would want to take action again when they are older. If you have a habit of service and will take action, you believe you have the time, skills, confidence and opportunity to take part.
    It is more likely that children under the age of 10 would take action than people who are the ages between 16 to 20. Children under 10 years old would most likely attend social action activities more often. Parent also participate in service action more than teenagers and young adults.
    The social action is embedded on schools, colleges or university, they support and encourage the young person to share their stories of social action, and in particular emphasize the often ordinary to start their journey, and to inspire others to take action.
    Your parents and friends who are also involved in the same social action can support and encourage your social action. 72% of the parents would participate in at least one social action. 80% of your friends would participate in at least one social action.

  5. What are the key findings and what might your opinions be about the findings.

    I think that the finding “having your parents and friends who are also involved in the same type of social action, and who support and encourage the young person’s social action” is important. Your family and friends can help you and support you. So you are able to do what you think is important and your family and friends can help you in achieving your goals. It is also important to know that there are people who are important to you that believe in you.

    Another key finding I think is important is “believe in young people that they have time, skills, confidence and opportunity to take part” because then the young people can develop their self-confidence. Having self-confidence is important because then you believe in yourself and you think you can do something if you really want to. For example achieving a goal.

    Starting social actions at a young age, primary school can help you be more self-confident. It can also make you want to make big and good social action.
    It also can make you think more about the wrong things in the world. It will also make you wonder how to fix the wrong things in the world.

    In my opinion, this is a great company because the world might change into a better place if everyone is taking part in a good action. I also like how this company spreads awareness of what’s going on in the world and working to help everyone and everything.

  7. A Habit of Service Project
    The key findings are the grafs and the percent of the young people with the habit of the service and the young people without habit of the service. The next key finding is the evolution of the young person. The other one is the sentences that represent the paragraphs. The fourth key finding is that every picture of the person has information and what is happening in his age and in his life.

    My opinions about the findings

    About the evolving the young children how do you know how is going to be involved. He children does not need to go to uniservity and how so you know when that kid is going to have skills to find his own job. My second opinion about the findings is that how do you know if the information is true. The information about those graphs might false and the evolving of the young person it might me false as well. My third opinion is that they should add more pictures how young men is evolving because when you are old you don’t go to work anymore you live in house. My fourth opinion is that they should add more information on each slide.

Some of the key findings for the first poster where that a young person with habit service normally would take part in social activities even if they have never done that kind of activities before, And they often believe they have the time, skill, confidence and opportunity to take part in social activities. The people who made this poster have given a definition that a young person of a service habit is a person who participates in social activities such as volunteering, campaigning and fundraising.

    The second poster is also quite interesting because it gives you a graph which has very important data. There’s a lot of data in there but the most interesting one was that said got involved in social action before the age of 10. I had always gone to social action activities my whole life even when I was a baby so it confused me when it was such a low number and I hadn’t realized that people around the world aren’t so social and also the fact that a lot of people don’t have the opportunity to do these kinds of things.

    My opinion about these findings is that I think that people should be into a social habit because they can help have a better life and meet new people.

  9. I think that the key findings are to have the time, the skills and to have the confidence, to start helping from a young age and to have a good and regular action.

    Today people are too often at home on their computer, playing games or on social media, but if you are really passionate about what you want to do, you will find the time to help people in need, to help them succeed and guide them. They need support from their parents and school. Having social action embedded at school, college or university, identify more closely with normal and civic virtues and to have friends and family that are also involved in the social action and the will support and encourage the young person’s social actions. For me, I think that helping young people, encouraging young people and supporting is a very important thing to do because to me it means that you are doing something good to another person.

    I think that those are the key findings written in the image because to me if you want to do multiple social actions I think you need to do and have all of those things. Those are very important key findings.

The habitat of service was created 22nd of November at the tower of london in I think that habitat of service is a great company because they get information to young mind and helps understanding for young people..The project habitat of service will raise awareness.When you see the findings you see a good way to take action.I think this project will last a long time because they have lots of help from different places and people.The picture said that it involves people age 10 and over.80% of the parents try stop one social action. It is social action activities such as fundraising , campaigning and volunteering.It have social action embedded at schools , college and universities to help different problems. They supports young people to continue participating through key transition points , such as moving schools , recording going to university or starting work to help the moving families throughout the world.I think that habitat of service is going to be a great company recognized throughout the world be different families and people

    Having a habit of service has a lot of benefits for all kinds of people. This project helps people to get social skills I and I think it is very important. Having this service by young helps people not to sit on their bums and do things that are not necessary. For example, playing games, watching youtube, social media, and so on. This “Habit of Service” has supported a lot of young people to make friends, participate in taking social action, Believe that they have this skills and more. This is a great way to make young people progress in life.

    In conclusion, I think A Habit of Service helps people a lot. This Habit of Service is a project to help people have the opportunity to have social skills.

  13. What are the key findings and what might your opinions be about the findings.

    A “habit of service” project was launched, to understand about teens from 16-20 years old, who had made a habit of service.

    The Findings were that people who had a habit of service were more likely to be more confident about themselves than people who didn’t have the habit of service.

    They also found out that people who did a habit of service in the past 12 months and were sure about doing it again had more experience in social action skills than the people who did it in the past 12 months, but people were not sure about doing it again next time.
    Another thing they found out was that girls were more likely to involve in social studies than boys.

    I think that girls were more likely to get a habit of service than boys, was because it is more likely for a boy to have Autism or the Asperger Syndrome than girls.

    About the other finding, I think that it is because when you are more engaged in something, you pay more attention to it, and you are able to notice also the smallest detail and you learn more that way.

    I think it’s a good organization, as it helps people with their social skills, which they will need in their lifetime.

    Key findings
    The key findings are ‘A young person with a habit of service’ and ‘Percent of young people with a habit of service. I find the lots of key findings in ‘Percent of young people with a habit of service’ and ‘A young with a habit of service.

    First, I found at percent of young people with a habit of service are 22% of under the age of ten years old have habit of service, the greatest percent is 80%. What a surprise ‘Friends participate in at least one type of social action’ is 80%. I didn’t know that young person doesn’t friends, but they have least one type of social action.

    I found key findings in a ‘A young person with a habit of service’ are a young person with a habit of service has participated in social action activities such as campaigning, fundraising in a past year and wants to take part again in future. I didn’t know that young person has many participated activities.

    My Opinions
    My opinions are people should get into social habits, because they could help to have a better life and world.

The key is a young person under the age of ten because of it’s habit of service. It is about habit of service and the place and person. This happen when the project was done and was at 22nd November 2017 at the Tower of London is a place and made by a young person.

    First they are a baby than they grow up and start to have a habit of service alrealdy and it was on the 22nd November 2017 at the Tower of London and that when the project was launched. When there under the age of ten, they also got support by other people like family and by firends that also had support them ont here habit of service.

    I think this is a good project and could also change the world by inspirer the chilren and it was a impersive project and should countinue.

    The A Habit of Service project was launched on 22nd November 2017 at the tower of London .Is great project for young people to have a great choice and to take action to make the world a better place.
    On the picture they say that 76% young people are confidence to participate some actions.I am very surprised because their are a lot of people are confidence to participate some actions.
    I think that the information are very helpful because is will help a lot young people to have a great actions for people.The Habit of Service are very helpful.

  18. The habit of service project that was launched on November 22nd 2017 at the Tower of London interviewed over 4,500 16 to 20 year olds. To have a “habit of service” you had to have participated in a social action activity in the last year and aspire to do so again eventually in the next year. The results showed that 22 percent of young people with a habit of service first got involved in social action under the age of 10 while only 10 percent of young people without a habit of service were involved in social action under the age of 10.
    These findings mean that more people who were involved in social action at a young age and still continued to have a habit of service now than people that have not continued to have a habit of service very far into the future. This means that people who start working on community action at a young age sometimes help again. I think this means being involved in social action at a young age is good. It helps make people come back and decide to help their community again. This is important because the more people helping a community, the better the community can be. Having a happy, healthy, and safe community is what a lot of people want and getting started with social action at a young age can help.

    The A Habit of Service is making a big impact on our life, I think Habit of Service is a really good company and I really appreciate it.
