We are continuing with our unit of inquiry into the transdisciplinary theme how the world works with the central idea: Water is a natural resource that can be explored. This week we have been reflecting on our learning. The children have been preparing to share at assembly. The children’s theories and wonderings will be explored in the weeks to come.
Last Friday, we spent the day playing with water. The weather was gorgeous and the children had so much fun. We even got the hose out…
Our fairy door arrived. At the beginning of the year Eimear told us about her fairy door at her house. We decided we wanted one for our class. The children are busy writing notes to our fairy.
Everyday I listen to the children and record their thinking, but it isn’t often that I am in the right place at the right time with my ipad. Today by the fairy door I recorded a great video that demonstrates many math concepts, vocabulary and understandings. Listen to the children unpacking the K1 curriculum through play. Such a great video! Click here. (Simon, Luna, Katie, Oscar, Johanna, Thomas).
