Students in Ms. Mel’s class (grade 4), Ms. Angela’s class (grade 5), and Ms. Ronke’s class (grade 5) worked on group art challenges this week! The students worked in teams at their assigned tables and had to use problem solving skills to work through the challenge that was presented by the teacher. Each team was awarded an art trophy based on their team strengths. It’s amazing to see the students work together on collaborative artwork! Way to go, artists!

ATTENTION GRADE 5 STUDENTS AND PARENTS! We will be working on a still life drawing unit in art class, and we need you to bring in an item from home. This item should have a special meaning to it. Please bring in one small-medium sized object and Ms. Andrea will store them in a locked drawer for our class. Do not bring in anything very expensive (or a precious heirloom) like an iPhone or a passport. Suggested items might be a favorite toy, a keepsake from your home country, an accessory, etc… All items must be collected by Wednesday, September 20th. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Andrea at email@example.com.
What is Artsonia?
Artsonia is the largest student art museum in the world! Every child can have an online art gallery and keep their masterpieces in a digital portfolio! It serves as a kids art museum where young artists and students display their art for other kids worldwide to view, and can also track their progress as an artist from preschool through grade 12. Each student gets an individual site on Artsonia and that site can travel with them from school to school. Your art teachers will periodically upload artwork onto Artsonia throughout the school year. Parents can manage the site and also add friends and family members to each students’ fan club.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact your art teachers, Ms. Andrea (firstname.lastname@example.org) & Ms. Emma (email@example.com).
