Tết Trung Thu (Moon Festival) is one of the most important festivals in Vietnam, especially for children. Held annually at UNIS Hanoi, the Moon Festival Celebration is a great opportunity for students to learn more about Vietnamese culture and traditions. This year, Elementary School students will have a Tết Trung Thu Celebration in the theatre on Thursday, September 28th 2017. The Assembly is hosted and performed by Grade 2 and Grade 4 students who are attending Vietnamese classes.
The schedule is as follows:
1st Assembly (8.25-9.05) : For G1 – G4 students and teachers
2nd Assembly (9.10-9.50) : For ECC students, teachers and parents
Parents are invited to come and enjoy our 2nd Moon Festival Assembly (9.10am).
After the assembly, students will be provided with a Moon Festival treat and will take part in traditional toy making workshops in their classrooms.
All students and staff are encouraged to wear an “Áo Dài” (Vietnamese traditional dress) on Thursday, September 28th 2017. You can buy a ready-made Áo Dài or have one made downtown at the clothing shops in the some of the Old Quarter streets such as: Hàng Đào, Lương Văn Can, Hàng Bông, etc.
With good wishes,
