This week we continued our inquiry into the transdisciplinary theme how the world works with the central idea: water is a natural resource that can be explored. We had a big week of exploring using our 5 senses- in the pool on Monday, and in the rain (finally) on Thursday. The students shared their observations in sentences and in drawings. Ask your child to share observations at home using the 5 senses.
Wednesday’s Blue Dragon Walk-a-thon was a huge success for the students! Most of the students ran the whole time and the parent volunteers and observers were a huge help. Don’t forget to check your child’s bag for the pledge sheets and return them with the money as soon as possible.
I hope you enjoyed UN Day and the lunch on Friday. It was lovely to see all of the families celebrating together and the ES children stole the show with their performance of The World is Ours.

*K1A & K1B will briefly share some of their learning at the ECC Assembly on the morning of Thursday November 23rd. Parents are invited to attend the assembly, which begins at 8:25 in the ECC gym. I will share a video of the assembly for anyone who can’t attend.
*Show and Tell next week: Cancelled due to the short week
*No school for students Monday & Tuesday
*There have been quite a few cases of head lice in K1. Please check your child very carefully. Live lice and eggs both need to be removed very carefully over several days, even after treatment.
