Security Enhancement

Dear UNIS Hanoi Community,

As we start a new School Year I would like to remind you that we have put in place enhanced security protocols this year. We have made this a priority as a result of several factors including the desire to be a leader in international school standards for the protection of children and the results of an external safety and security audit. To lead these procedural upgrades, UNIS Hanoi has hired a Security Manager, Mr Bang Tran who is charged with training our new guard force on enhanced security measures.

Beginning immediately, we will ensure that every visitor on campus is wearing a security pass. For UNIS Hanoi families, all parents and students have been issued with Campus Cards and additional Campus Cards are available for household staff.

If you have misplaced your parent Campus Card or need new Campus Cards for household staff who will be on campus with your children, please be sure to follow the instructions on our Campus Card webpage.

Visitors who do not have a Campus Card will be required to leave proper identification at the guards’ desk at the Main Gate for a Visitor Pass. Without identification, campus entry will not be allowed. Please note, Visitor Passes are not available at Gate 5 (the back gate).

We hope that you understand that the safety of the students and staff is our number one priority.

Regards,

Misty Shipley

    • Dear Vincent,
Thank you for your question. As stated in the articles, those factors include our desire to be a leader in best practices for child safeguarding in international school standards and the result of 2 audits which are external safety and security audit we had last year. This security enhancement process is also required for our school accreditation.
